Company Profile
NDGAA: Established in 1969 by Robert D. Reynolds, NDGAA has built a legacy of supporting groomers through professional certification, education, and advocacy. Key activities include hosting workshops, trade shows, and grooming competitions. NDGAA also safeguards its professional integrity with registered trademarks, including its iconic Striped Pole and Poodle Logo and the National Certified Master Groomer® (NCMG) designation.
AKC: As a trusted authority in canine standards, the AKC expanded its influence in the grooming industry through publishing the AKC Core Grooming Education Standards and the AKC Dog Grooming Institute. This certification body sets the benchmark for grooming excellence by evaluating groomers’ knowledge and skills across multiple tiers. By establishing education standards and credentialing system, the AKC is redefining professional grooming standards and ensuring consistent quality across the industry.
